To access the engine cover in 1.4L engines, take off the engine cover, unconnect the electrical connector on the solenoid and then take off the mounting bolt to replace the solenoid and O-ring. Same to 1.8L and 2.0L engines, make sure to seal it. Repeat the process with a new O-ring when dealing with 2.5L engines.
