How to remove the hub and wheel bearing assembly when replacing the steering knuckle on Volkswagen Golf?

Disassemble the hub and the wheel bearing when the steering knuckle is to be replaced. The first step is to remove the wheel cover and loosen the driveaxle/hub bolt when the vehicle is on wheels, and then loosen the wheel bolts. Put the rear wheels in chock, use the parking brake, lift up the front of the car and place it safely on jackstands before removal of the front wheel. Then loosen the driveaxle/hub bolt and the ABS wheel speed sensor and brake caliper without dismounting the hose, secured the caliper to the coil spring to prevent any strain on the hose. Loosen a few turns of the balljoint-to-steering knuckle nut and then remove the tie-rod end of the steering knuckle and the balljoint of the control arm and part the balljoint and knuckle. Disconnect the front level control sensor arm with the control arm, in case equipped. Take the strut-to-knuckle nut out and hammer and punch out the bolt, taking care to make the opening where the strut inserts into the knuckle open wide where this might happen. Gently remove the knuckle assembly outwards and push the driveaxle out of the hub with a soft faced hammer to tap the CV joint out or a puller to loosen it out. secured driveaxle. To install, first install the balljoint into the knuckle and tighten the new nut to the required torque. Install the caliper disc and caliper tighten the caliper mounting bracket bolts and caliper guide pin/mounting bolts to designated torque. Essentially, last but not least, screw the driveaxle/hub bolt on safely, screw in the ABS wheel speed sensor, replace the wheel again, lower the vehicle to the ground, and screw the driveaxle/hub bolt and wheel bolts to the required torque.
