When disconnection of battery is done, various systems have to be re-learned until they become operational. The first thing to do is to take off the engine cover and remove the cable which is connected to the negative terminal of the battery. Slide the front of the car up and place it on jackstands. The second step is to take away the under-vehicle splash shield. In four-cylinder BPY engines, loosen the air conditioning line support bracket bolts on the right side of the frame and relocate the lines out of the fan shroud. With four-cylinder CCTA and CBFA engines that have a noise generator, unscrew the locking ring of the charge air pipe, unscrew the electrical connector of the charge air pipe, unscrew the mounting fastener, and unscrew the charge air pipe. Five-cylinder engines Unclip radiator hose lower out of fan shroud and unclip electrical connector of Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. Disassemble the electrical connector(s) to the cooling fan(s) harness and loosen the fixing bolts of the cooling fan shroud, and then remove the assembly at the bottom of the vehicle. Unscrew and unconnect the electrical connector of the cooling fans, und fasten the fasteners of the cooling fan motor, and extract the cooling fans out of the shroud. In case the fan blades are destroyed or the fan motor is damaged then the fan blade can be removed off the fan motor. The rest of the process of installation is the opposite of the reverse of the removal process.
