Volkswagen 1H0-199-353-D Mount Bracket

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable, ensuring you have the activation code for the stereo if equipped with an anti-theft system. 2. Position a floor jack under the engine to take the weight off the front engine mount. 3. Unscrew and withdraw the through-bolt. 4. Remove the starter motor. 5. Loosen and withdraw the engine mount-to-transaxle bellhousing bolts and remove the bracket. 6. Remove the engine mount block retaining screw and lift the block out. 7. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring the orientation lug engages with the recess in the mounting bracket and tightening all bolts securely.
