How to remove and install the trunk lid latch and lock cylinder on 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio?

In order to get the trunk lid lock out, unlock the trunk, unscrew the lock, disconnect wiring and remove the link rod. With the lock cylinder, unscrew the lock cover, unscrew the link rod and take the assembly out. Test and change sealing rings (where necessary). Installation and reconnection Checked and reconnected.
