The liftgate lock is removed by opening the liftgate, screwing, removing the link rod of the lock, and unconnecting the wiring. Take out the trim panel and link rod(s). Unscrew screws of the lock button trim, unclips, and take off the lock button. Break open the lock cylinder, examine the sealing ring and replace parts.
