Removing of strut To eliminate the strut, loosen the wheel bolts, chock rear wheels and jack up the front. Take off the wheel then the strut of steering knuckle. Install the strut in a vise and remove and inspect wear components. Re-assemble and re-fit the strut, making sure the torque is correct and the strut is correctly aligned.
