How to access and install the Cabin Air Filter in the cowl area on 2005 Volkswagen Passat?

The models have an air filter in the cowl section that filters air before entering into the passenger compartment. In order to access it, one needs to screw it off, lift the cover and draw out the filter. To install, perform the process in reverse and make sure that the airflow arrows are downwards.
