  • Q: How to remove and install the Door Lock Cylinder, Lift Support and Trunk Lid Latch on 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit coupe and wagon?
    A: In the case of coupe, liftgate, trim panel, and tailgate, the tailgate should be opened manually, the liftgate should be opened and the trim panel should be removed. Unscrew wiring, replace lock and re-screw in the opposite direction. To remove lock and handle/release button (wagon models) use the same procedure, ensure operation of the lock before putting the trim back in place.
