    A: The master cylinder has to be removed by disconnecting the negative battery terminal, removing electrical connectors and siphoning fluid out of the reservoir. Undo brake lines, clean fittings and strip away the master cylinder. Bleed the new cylinder, and install it, and connect the clutch hose (where necessary). Lastly, drain the system and brakes.
