How to remove and reinstall the Door Lock Cylinder, Lift Support and Trunk Lid Latch on 2009 Volkswagen Rabbit sedan?

In order to unlatch the latch, remove the inner trim panel, disconnect the lock cable, place a mark at the latch position and loosen the nuts that hold the latch. Installation requires reversing the process. Unscrew the lock cylinder by removing the fastener and unjoining the wiring. The trunk lid supports are removed like the hood struts.
