2017 Volkswagen Jetta Oil Pump Parts and Q&A

  • Q: Is the oil pump serviceable, and How to replace it on 2017 Volkswagen Jetta?
A: The oil pump is not serviceable and has to be replaced if faulty. For 1.4L engines set TDC, remove the oil pan, and the pump assembly. For 2.0L engines, do something similar, though make sure to remove the splash wall. For timing chain engines two people are required to remove the pump. After installation, check oil pressure and leaks.
