How to replace the Hood Release Cable on 2019 Volkswagen Golf?

The hood latch release cable consists of two components one being the latch and the other one being the release lever. Do not turn off the hood with a cable removed. Open the hood and unscrew the cable and change it by pulling another cable through the cowl. Install the safety lever again where necessary.
