Volkswagen Cabrio Cabin Air Filter Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to access and replace the Cabin Air Filter located beneath the windshield wiper motor cover panels on Volkswagen Cabrio?
    A:
The pollen filter, which is located on some models, is located directly below the windshield wiper motor covers on the right-hand side. Removal To gain access to it, unclip the rubber seal at the right side of the top of the engine compartment firewall. Then, undo the screws attaching the retaining fastener screws and remove the fasteners which hold the part of the windshield wiper motor cover panel which applies to the right half of the panel, then loosen and remove that half of the panel out of the car. Then lift the pollen filter cover to an upward position and away and remove the retaining clips then lift the cover out of the cover. Before fitting the new filter, clean the filter housing and then fit the new filter making sure that it is clipped in place and then fit the cover back. Lastly, screw the trim cover with the fasteners and fasten the rubber seal into the firewall.
