To remove the front seat belt in four- and five-door models, unscrew the center screw from the sill trim panel retaining clip and remove the clip, then press down on the front trim panel to release its lower edge and pull it upwards to remove. Fold the rear seat cushion up, unscrew the fasteners securing the rear section of the sill trim panel, and release the retaining clip by forcing it rearwards to remove the rear section. Unclip the door pillar upper trim panel, loosen and remove the seat belt lower mounting bolt, and free the seat belt from its lower anchorage. Next, loosen and remove the upper seat belt mounting bolt, then loosen and remove the door pillar lower trim panel retaining screw and unclip the panel. Undo the retaining screws to remove the belt guide from the door pillar, and if applicable, loosen and remove the tensioner assembly retaining nut to disable the tensioner. Loosen and remove the inertia reel mounting bolt to take out the seat belt assembly, releasing the tensioner assembly from its retaining clip if necessary. For three-door models, remove the relevant rear seat back, sill trim panel, and door pillar upper trim panel, then loosen and remove the rear seat back catch pin and retaining screws from the rear seat side trim panel before prying out the panel retaining clips. On models with tensioners, disable the tensioner and remove the seat belt lower retaining rail from the floor. For the front seat belt stalk, remove the seat and the bolt securing the stalk to the seat. For rear seat side belts in hatchback models, remove the rear seat side trim panel for three-door models or the sill trim panel and door pillar upper trim panel for five-door models, then fold down the rear seat and remove the retaining nuts securing the side trim panel. Loosen and remove the seat belt lower mounting bolt, catch pin, and retaining fasteners, then unclip and remove the rear pillar trim panel. Loosen and remove the seat belt upper mounting bolt and free the belt from the rear pillar, then undo the inertia reel mounting to remove the seat belt. For sedan models, remove the sill trim panel and door pillar upper trim panel, loosen and remove the retaining screw from the rear pillar trim panel, and then remove the seat belt. To remove the rear seat center belt and buckles, fold the rear seat cushion forwards, loosen and remove the bolt and washers securing the assembly to the floor. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring all seat belt mounting bolts are securely tightened and all disturbed trim panels are retained by the relevant clips, with attention to the engagement of height adjustment levers with the seat belt upper mounting bolt head during installation.
