How to properly discharge and replace the A/C condenser on Volkswagen Golf?

Start with emptying the air conditioning system. Lift up the car and place it on jackstands. Take off splashing shield at the under-vehicle, when fitted. Coolant in the radiator should be drained (recycled where it is new); used antifreeze should be handled carefully. disassemble the bumper with front, cooling fan shroud, radiator. Unscrew the air duct retaining tabs and take out the air ducts of the side of the condenser. Unscrew the suction and discharge line attachments of the right side of the condenser, use a plug in the exposed fittings to avoid intrusion of dirt and moisture, and remove the seals between the plates and condenser. Should there be a charge air system circuit cooler, slide it until the upper mounts are clear, and then remove it and store out of the workspace. Unscrew the fasteners of the condenser, tip the top of the condenser backwards and extract it. To install, revert the removal procedure whereby new O-rings are used on the air conditioning system fittings. In case of a new condenser installation, place new refrigerant oil, which matches the system. Fill the system and bleed the system and then start the engine to test whether there are leaks. Lastly, the shop which released the system should evacuate, recharge and leak-test the system.
