The manufacturer suggests that whenever there is a removal of the stabilizer bar clamp bolts, they should be replaced with new ones. The first thing to do is to raise the front of the vehicle and place them on jackstands. The second step is to take out the bottom splash shield underneath the engine. Disassemble the stabilizer bar connections to the stabilizer bar by loosening the connections. Next, unmount the pendulum, and uncouple the steering column U-joint coupler of the steering gear. Next, undo the exhaust pipe support bracket fasteners of the subframe, and the stabilizer bar bushing clamp fasteners. When provided with, remove the front level control sensor arm-to-
Control Arm nut and loosen sensor arm-control arm separation. Install a floor jack underneath the subframe, loosen the front subframe fasteners, remove the rear subframe fasteners and then lower the subframe not more than three inches. Take away the stabilizer bar bushing clamps and take away the stabilizer bar of the sub frame. Check the clamp bushings and link bushings, replacing ones that were cracked, hardened or deteriorated. Removal is the opposite of installation and all the fasteners are tightened to the designated values of torque.
