The catalytic converter and front exhaust pipe are combined in one piece. Start by taking out the engine cover. Unscrew the right-front wheel bolts and elevate the front of the car and rest on jackstands. The next step is to dismount an under-vehicle splash shield and the inner fender liner on the right side. Unplug electrical connectors of the downstream
Oxygen Sensors and take out the upstream and downstream oxygen sensors of the catalytic converter. Take off the fasteners that hold the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter to the turbocharger then remove the bolts of the support bracket of the front exhaust pipe. Disconnect the clamps that are attaching the catalytic converter to the rear exhaust and then take out the catalytic converter using the front exhaust pipe. Get rid of old flange gasket and clamps. To install, simply undo the undoing, but with new gaskets as well as self-locking nuts and tighten all fasteners by the necessary means.
