Lift up the front of the car and place it on jackstands. Take off lower splash shield under the engine. Take the fasteners and attach the stabilizer bar links off the stabilizer bar. Take out the pendulum mount and get the steering column U-joint coupler off the steering gear by taking out the pinch bolt at the bottom of the steering column. Take off the fasteners of the exhaust pipe support bracket of the subframe. De-clamp the stabilizer bar bushing fasteners, and, where fitted, disconnect the front level control sensor arm-to-
Control Arm nut and detach the sensor arm to the control arm. Install a floor jack beneath the bottom frame, and strip out the rear sub frame fasteners, softening the front sub frame fasteners, down as far as three inches. Un-attach the stabilizer bar bushing clamps and take away the stabilizer bar of the subframe. Check the clamp bushings and the link bushings; these may be cracked, hardened or worn in any manner, replace them. Installation is the opposite of removal process, and it is necessary to ensure the tightening of the fasteners to the required torque values.
