How to properly remove and install Coil Springs and Shock Absorber on the rear wheel and suspension components on 2000 Volkswagen Passat?

Unscrew the bolts of the rear wheel and chock the front ones. Put the rear on jackstands, remove the rear wheel and brake caliper. Unscrew the stabilizer bar connection and unscrew the required bolts. Install shock absorber/coil spring assembly out, in case of replacement. Undo the installation process, tighten every fastener to required torque.
