How to relieve the fuel system pressure and replace the fuel pump on 2005 Volkswagen Passat?

To ease the pressure of fuel system, take off the required parts depending on the type of model. Unplug the pump and lines, make an alignment mark and loosen the flange. Take off the pump, change and reassemble it in the reverse manner but make sure the alignment and connections are made correctly at the end of the installation.
