The entire rear main seal should be changed. Take off flywheel/driveplate, and, on timing belt engines, oil pan. Determine the version of the seal by dropping the adapter plate. Clean the surfaces, put RTV sealant, and place the new seal. Use tool #T10134 as follows: 1.4L engines.
