An assistant should help in pushing the fender out of the car so that it is not damaged by the fact that the fastener in the fender will be in a different place depending on the model and level of trim. Start by loosening the bolts of the wheels, lifting the front of the car, and firmly holding it on the jackstands, and then remove the wheel. Then take off the lower splash shield under engine, then the front bumper cover and the cowl cover. Then remove the inner fender splash shield fasteners and splash shield. Take off the headlamp assembly of the fender under replacement. To remove the fender, follow the steps in the order: remove the fender front fasteners, only replace the plastic molding in case of damage, open the door to reach the upper-rear fender fastener, turn the wheel as needed, take out the foam item in the inside of the fender, press the tabs to remove the plastic item and mark the notch and matching hole, remove the rocker panel bolt, inner fenderwell bolts and the bolts on top of the fender. With a plastic trim tool, take care to pry the upper rear of the fender to release the adhesive then carefully lift the fender without leaving scratches and this can be done with help. Install the retaining/ dampening foam of the shape of the fender. Installation To be installed, all the steps that were used in removal should be followed in reverse, then the all the fender fasteners should be loosely installed and the fender should be aligned to those body parts and then the fender fasteners must be tightened. Lastly, install the wheel bolts to the required torque.
