Take the fuel system pressure off and unhook the negative battery cable. In 1.4L engines the fuel pressure sensor is fitted at the end of the fuel rail, undo the air filter housing (to access the sensor) disconnect the electrical connector, undo the sensor by unscrewing it off the fuel rail, but do not use any kind of sealant over the threads in the fuel rail during fitting, which is the opposite. In case of 1.8L and 2.0L turbocharged engines (except CBFA and CCTA), undo the engine cover, bracket bolts of the coolant pipe near the alternator as well as the charge air pressure sensor connector. Next, take out the intake duct in throttle body to intercooler, the intake manifold bracket, and the disconnection of the electrical connector of the fuel pressure sensor, possibly the disconnection of the alternator connector to get more room. To remove the sensor, unscrew it and when installing the sensor, apply clean engine oil on the threads. In 2.0L CBFA/CCTA turbocharged engines (where needed), the duct taking air to the passenger in between the intercooler and the turbocharger can be removed, the bolts connecting the bracket to the alternator are removed, as well as the bolts connecting the coolant line to the intake manifold, which should be moved out of the way. The opposite of the removal is to disconnect the electrical connector of the fuel pressure sensor, unscrew and take the sensor out of the fuel rail and apply clean engine oil on the threads when installing the sensor.
