Open the engine cover and, in the event it is necessary, the air filter housing. Removing the battery and battery tray to engage in better access in case required. In case of models that have an electric water pump, remove the pump. To avoid loss of coolant, pinch or clamp the oil cooler coolant hoses and then remove the hose clamps and dismount the coolant hoses on the oil cooler fittings, re-arranging the shift cable as necessary by dismounting it off the housing clamp above the oil cooler. To remove the single bolt and the washers in the center of the round-style oil coolers, and the bolts holding the cooler to the transaxle case in oil coolers of rectangular shape. Once the cooler has been taken out of the transaxle, dispose the O-rings. When installing, install in the reverse order of the removal, make sure to use new O-rings, tighten the fasteners to required torque and fill the engine coolant, and transaxle fluid levels, where needed.
