This procedure applies to 2.0L turbocharged CBFA and CCTA engines. On all other engines except 2018 and later 1.4L, the IAT is part of the
MAP Sensor and the Charge Air Pressure sensor. The IAT sensor is located at the back side of the intake manifold. For 2018 and later 1.4L engines, the IAT sensor is integrated into the MAF sensor located on the air filter housing lid. Begin by removing the engine cover. Next, locate and disconnect the electrical connector from the IAT sensor. Then, remove the IAT sensor mounting fastener and take the sensor out from the intake manifold, ensuring not to discard the O-ring, as it does not have a replacement part and only comes with a new sensor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
