Undo the bolts that are holding the rear wheels, lift up the rear of the car and put it on jackstands to ensure that it is well supported and then loosen the bolts of the rear wheel and take off the wheel. Gently loosen the parking brake tension then loosen the screw that holds the drum and the drum. Then take out the brake shoes and wheel cylinder. Removal of dust cap on the hub should be done taking care to ensure that every time the dust cap is removed it should be replaced. Installation Take off the backing plate and stub axle jointly by removing the hub bearing assembly then removing the backing plate-to-axle beam bolts, and then take off the stub axle and the backing plate. To install, revert the process of removal careful not to contaminate the mating surfaces of the knuckle or stub axle and the hub and bearing assembly. Attach the mounting bolt to the required torque, install the wheel cylinder, brakes shoes and a brake drum and bleed the brake system. Parking brake Adjust the parking brake, fit the wheel and wheel bolts, lower the vehicle and fit the bolts to the recommended torque.
