Start with emptying the air conditioning system. Lift the car and place it on jackstands. Take off splash shield below engine where it has one fitted. Removal of the front bumper assembly. Unfasten the line of power steering oil cooler off the radiator support panel and lay it aside. Disassemble the A/C pressure switch, as well as, the condenser inlet and outlet lines. Open the condenser holding pins, and pull the condenser off the radiator pushing the center pin over, then pulling the retaining pin out, being careful not to lose one of the retaining pins which are positioned on each side. The process of installation is in the reverse direction of removal with new O-rings being used in the fittings of the air conditioning system. Should the replacement be on the condenser, use fresh refrigerant oil to the new condenser and make sure that it is R-134a compatible. Lastly, have the system emptied, refilled, and checked by a service department of a dealer or automotive air conditioning repair shop.
