In order to change the hub/bearing, one should first loosen the driveaxle/hub bolt. Next, unscrew the wheel bolts, lift the car up and stay it safely on jackstands and then take off the wheel. Then remove the brake caliper, the caliper mounting bracket and brake disc using the hub and make sure that the brake caliper is suspended using a length of wire or rope. Disassemble the sensor of wheel speed and the driveaxle/hub bolt and tap the CV joint off the hub with a soft faced hammer, a puller might be required. Take off the shield in the
Steering Knuckle by removing the disc shield mounting bolts and then take off the hub/bearing assembly mounting bolts at the back of the steering knuckle. When it becomes necessary to access the fasteners, take off the driveaxle. Gently remove the hub bearing assembly of the steering knuckle and driveaxle with care that the inner CV joint does not overextend. To install, it is recommended that the mounting surfaces in the steering knuckle and in the driveaxle splines be smooth without any burrs or nicks. Coat the driveaxle splines with multi-purpose grease, insert the axle through the hub/bearing assembly and align it to the steering knuckle then fit a new driveaxle/hub bolt without tightening it. Install the brake disc, caliper mounting bracket, and the caliper and tighten the hub/bearing bolts to specified torque, tighten up the fasteners to specified torque values. And for the last, attach the wheel, take off jackstand, lower the vehicle and fit both the driveaxle/hub bolt and the wheel bolts to the required torque.
