Cylinder head, oil pump, baffle and oil pan should be removed before piston and connecting rod assemblies. Examine the cylinders and remove the ridges with a ridge reamer. Invert engine, and spot connecting rods. Take off caps and push out assemblies. Put back together and do not separate pistons and rods.
