  The pump and the gauge sender unit are housed in a single unit, which is attached on the top of the Fuel Tank, which can be accessed through a hatch at the load space floor. In order to take out the unit, empty the fuel system, pull the vehicle to the flat surface and disconnect the negative cable of the battery, having the activation code of any anti-theft stereo system. The second step is to take the trim out of the load space floor, loosen and remove the screws of the access hatch and remove the hatch. Disconnection: Unplug the wiring harness connector of the pump/sender unit and pad the surrounding of the fuel hoses with rags to dry up any overflowing fuel and then loosen the hose clamps and take them out of the ports, labeling the hoses accordingly to reconnect them in their proper positions.
