Tighten the wheel bolts and elevate the front of the car in good position on jackstands and then loosen the wheel bolts and secure the car on jackstands. Take off the tie-rod end of the tie-rod. Take out and destroy, by prying open or cutting off, the steering gear boot clamps, which can be pried by prying at the crimped part, or cut by cutting pliers. Removal of the boot and a new clamp of the inner end of the boot. Place the boot in its place, with both end so that they fit into their grooves, and make sure that the boot is not twisted before joining the inner clamp with clamp crimping pliers. Install the outer clamp and loosely tighten it and reinstall the tie-rod end. Lastly, check and adjust the front end alignment where required.
