How to replace the throttle body on Volkswagen Passat?

In a four-cylinder engine, start by starting with removing of the air intake duct between throttle body and Mass Airflow sensor and then disconnecting the electrical connector to throttle control module. Empty the coolant and remove the hoses that are attached to the throttle body and then remove the accelerator cable. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the throttle body and screw the new throttle body on with a gasket and tighten the mounting bolts to the required tightness. The rest of the installation is performed in reverse sequence of removal and make sure to refill and bleed the cooling system. In case of V 6 engines, the starting point is to disassemble the engine cover and the air intake system between the Mass Airflow sensor and the intake air elbow. When it has a cruise control, disconnect the servo unit with the vacuum hose, remove the bolts attaching the bracket, disconnect the throttle rod and remove the servo unit. Unplug the electrical connectors of the intake air temperature sensor, secondary air injection solenoid valve, and intake manifold tuning solenoid valve and label each vacuum hose carefully and notate the hose before removing the valve bracket assembly. The next step is to take off the air intake elbow off the throttle body, the electrical connector off throttle control module, empty the coolant and disconnect the hoses of the throttle body. Unattach the cable of accelerator, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove throttle body and examine the O-ring seal to replace in case of need. Install throttle body and attach the bolts with a specified torque and install the throttle body in reverse sequence with the perspective of filling and bleeding the cooling system.
