- Q: How should the rocker arm be properly located and the rocker assembly mounted on Volkswagen Transporter?A:See that the bottom of the pushrods are in place in the tappet recesses. Install a new seal on each rocker assembly mounting stud and place the rocker shaft support blocks over the mounting studs, and align the socketed ends of the rocker arms with the pushrods, and the adjusters with the valve stems. The chamfer outwards and slots upwards should be fitted in the rocker shaft support blocks. Install the washers and nuts, torque the two nuts into place, evenly screwed down to maintain even engagement of the pushrods in the rocker arms, to a tightening torque of 2.5mkg (18ft lbs). Adjust all the rocker adjuster screws in advance, making sure that the pushrods are installed in place.
