  • Q: Where is the Cabin Air Filter located and How to replace it on Volkswagen Rabbit?
    A:
    The ventilation filter of the interiors is installed in a housing inside the instrument panel to the right (passenger-side). Attack by unscrewing the fasteners on the trim panel and take the trim panel out under the glove box. In order to access the ventilation filter, simple depress the tab and slide the cover to the right in order to release the clips that hold the cover in place and then lift the cover and remove the ventilation filter element. The cover could also be attached with screws which have to be removed to slide the cover on some of the models. Installation of the new filter should be done with the arrows of air flow facing downwards. Installation is done in the opposite sequence as removal.
