To extract the wiper motor, begin by removing the wiper arm and unscrewing the nut on the wiper motor spindle and then removing the washer. The second step involves the loosening of the liftgate trim panel retain screw and removal, and then releasing the trim panel clips, by levering the panel and liftgate correctly with a flat-bladed screwdriver, around the outside until all the clips are released. Disconnect liftgate washer hose and wiring connector on back of wiper motor, be sure to loosen wiring in clips. Loose the wiper motor retaining bolts and slide the assembly out of the liftgate, and retrieve the rubber grommet, replacing it in case it is damaged. Loose and remove the retaining bolts, where necessary, to detach the motor and the mounting bracket to reclaim the spacers, and examine the rubbers to see whether they are damaged or deteriorated. To install, mount the motor on its mounting, proper arrangement of rubbers and spacers and tighten the retaining bolts. Install the rubber grommet to the liftgate, assembly, position the assembly, and screw the motor mounting bolts. Install the trim panel by reconnecting the wiper motor wiring connector and washer hose, making sure all the clips are firmly in place. Lastly, insert washer on the spindle of the wiper, screw the retaining nut and close it firmly and replace the wiper arm and reconnect battery.
