This process is applicable to
Timing Belt (BPY) engine. You need to start by taking away the engine cover then the timing belt top cover which has fasteners. Then, remove the ignition coils and the PCV valve fasteners and detach the PCV housing and the cover. Disassemble the crankcase hose heat shield of the turbocharger; unscrew the retaining fasteners, unplug the electrical connectors and harness clamped to the valve cover. Unbolt the retaining fasteners in the same order that they were installed to disassemble the valve cover assimilate the
Cylinder Head. Should the cover be adhesive, use a block of wood and a hammer to bump the end and a flexible putty knife to break the seal but which is careful not to damage the sealing surfaces. To install, make sure the mating surface of the cylinder head and cover are clean, removing all old gasket, sealant, etc., and also ensure that the rubber end plug is not damaged. Reuse of rubber gasket is possible when undamaged, after cleaning, insert it in the groove of the valve cover. Install the valve cover, and brackets that were removed so far making sure to fasten them in that order and up to the required torque. Lastly, install the rest of the parts, turn on the engine and test whether there is oil leakage.
