Unscrew the wheel fixings at the back, elevate the back of the vehicle and treat with jackstands firmly so as to remove the wheel. In rear drum brake designs, take out the brake drum. In rear disc brake models, remove the brake caliper without removing the hose, as well as the mounting bracket and the disc, and suspend the caliper with a piece of wire to ensure that the brake hose is not under stress. Take off the dust cap of the hub, making sure to fit in a new cap whenever the old cap is removed. Bolts Unscrew the hub bearing bolt and remove the hub and bearing assembly. Installation requires cleaning the mating surfaces of the knuckle or stub axle and the hub and bearing assembly, screwing the mounting bolt with the correct amount of torque, reattaching the brake caliper with the mounting bolts with the correct amount of torque, and then attaching the parking brake, then instal the wheel and wheel bolts, lowering the vehicle, and screwing the bolts in with the required amount of torque.
