Slack the rear wheel bolts, lift the back of the car, and hold it firmly on jackstands and then knock the wheel out. In the rear drum brake models, take away the brake drum. In the rear disc brake models, unscrew the brake caliper without removing the hose, bracket and disc and suspend the caliper using a piece of wire so as not to strain the brake hose. Take off the dust cap of the hub, do not forget to use a new one each time. Unscrew the hub bearing bolt, and take off the hub and bearing. Installation is in the opposite sequence as the removal process all the mating surfaces of the knuckle or stub axle and the hub and bearing assembly cleaned first before installation. Ascertain the mounting bolt to the desired torque. In the case of disc brake models, secure the brake caliper by screwing the mounting bolts to the prescribed required torque and in the case of drum brake models, screw the brake drum in place and wrap up the parking brake. Last but not least, fit the wheel and wheel bolts, lower the car and tighten the bolts to the required torque.
